Tarot Weekly 3/28-4/3/11

A break away from a usual or old way of thinking that could be a negative voice within. Check that. Watch for the inner saboteur, our own trickster when it comes to foundations and / or foundations of passions. We could inadvertently cause our own stumble.

Ideas and plans are still young and, yes, even immature, but everything has it’s cycle from birth to death. We are in a state of constant Bardo, culture young thoughts as would a child. Stoke enthusiasm, creativity, and spontaneity. Cultivate those resonating relationships that are highlighting the free spirit, and lift up the melancholy.

Let go with that grip! Clinging to the way things are or what you don’t wan to let go of (mentally speaking), and embracing the security of change, the flow, movement and newness. Open up your mind, seek improvement by learning through the experience.

There may be concern about how this affects your standing in the eyes of others but one should be cautioned not to be so self deceptive about self importance, or egotistical about the person we wish to be perceived as. Our friends and loved ones see us for who we are, not just the mister or misses popularity that we want them to see.

Examine our reflection. Explore our spontaneity, our inner adolescent. See our self in the moving, dancing, singing, spring time world around us. It is young again.

Note: Mercury is going to go Retrograde this week, on the 30th.

It’s time to be mindful of what we are communicating, transmitting, sending and receiving in our messages psychic, and on the world wide web. *wink* There is a Mars / Aries action adding to an emphasis on the child and action, but that could also lead to foot in mouth disease. Laugh it off. Be light.

Be well,

Happy Moon-day.

I was fortunate to have a little time this weekend, when not at work or cooking, cleaning, and trying to find a piece of the pie to pull my Tarot in advance. You may not know this but if I don’t get to it midweek I’ve pretty much set myself up to jockeying for time on the weekend. It’s no worry but I don’t like to write under a time crunch.

This week you will notice there are only three cards. Well there are only two but there is a story there, naturally and up until this morning I wasn’t able to really draw on anything else.

The reason there are two strength cards?

Well one was lost! The card on the right has been missing for some time, almost a year and as I put down our significator (The Star) for the reading, the Strength Card came away from the star in my hand. Like a parlor trick the one card became two. Strength! There you are!

Stranger, as I picked up my deck to begin the shuffle as I cut the deck, strength was in my hand.

Pause…

Place. I left the cards in this order and I went into my weekend with an openness to the message here.

Seek bliss to find bliss. The internal flame that rises like a serpent in the darkness.
~Pgs. 294-295 Strength, Tarot of the Spirit, Pamel Eakins, PH.D.

Excerpt

Joseph Campbell:

Remember the last line [in the novel Babbitt]? “I have never done the thing that I wanted to in all my life.” That is a man who never followed his bliss.

You may have a success in life, but then think of it – what kind of life was it? What good was it – you’ve never done the thing you wanted to do in all your life. I always tell my students, go where your body and soul want to go. When you have the feeling, then stay with it, and don’t let anyone throw you off.

Bill Moyers:

What happens when you follow your bliss?

Joseph Campbell (after pausing):

You come to bliss.

On a walk up in the hills behind the Griffith Park Observatory it came to me how much my eye is drawn to plants. It’s no mystery. I look through my digital photo gallery and no matter where I go, I’m watching, inspecting and mentally dissecting the parts and components of plant life. I imagine how deep the roots must travel and spread. I compare the thought to the branches, stalks, leaves and sometimes flowers.

As early as I can remember I have been surrounded by plants in my  house. I can’t not have them. The more I have the better I feel. It is, however conscious or imagined, my thing. I feel very connected to my green people in the house and out.  They give the air I breath, the food that sustains me, you and everything else, and they make my home feel great.

It is the feeling that brings the strength because these forces of the natural world are what replenished me on the walk. I derive a great sense of peace and strength from the plant world. I base much of my philosophy on trees, roots, blooms. Nature really does sustain me!

In Strength, this week, I would like to see you finding sustenance in your source(s) through activities that bring you to the place where that feeling, the vibration, of your solace is resonating like a song, in every part of your body. Forget the astrology, the details, the minutia and immerse in that at the start of the week.

Let that inner feeling be a wind to your sails, let them be full as you travel forward through the next seven days.

This is my bliss…

Be well,

Hello possums. 🙂

I’m on the recover from a severe cold, a virus that went hack and slash through my system for about a week, a cold that I couldn’t defend against on Friday. I had a few days of downtown, a lot of healing with Reiki, EO’s and some distance help -plus a few healthy chugs on a theraflu bottle when I thought my throat couldn’t take it anymore, and here I am on Monday, wobbling back into action.

On Sunday I was not sure I would be able to channel a lick today but it seems that those who send me the weekly message are in tip-top form, and since I’m able to meditate and type, we’ve got a weekly.

I chose a Significator this week. There are a few ways to choose Significators I choose my higher guidance. I was bouncing around a few cards, Magician for the manifesting work; The Universe for the absolute; and then the Star which for me related to healing and also channeling information or “looking into the future.”

In considering the Star I came across the following passage in the Tarot of the Spirit which confirmed my guided choice.

Tarot card from the Rider-Waite tarot deck, al...

Image via Wikipedia

“At the Star, you recognize that you are of the ephemeral physical plane, but you are also of the heavens,

the plane of eternal light. There is not contradiction. Through this knowledge, all things that exist upon earth are brought into perfection.”

The Star is also related to Aquarius, the visionary. There is also something authentic about the star, he or she is pouring water into the pool and onto the earth. It may seem strange to un-expecting traveler (The Fool) but when queried the Star explains that the water is for the pool that it may always be full to nourish the travelers who visit it, and the water on the earth is for the life that is seeded and rooted there. It is for the future.

Tarot Weekly

Weekly, February 28 – March 6th, 2011

I’m looking at the power of the Star shining through in our relationships. The Two of cups does indicate “with others” but I wouldn’t rule out “with our self” if this is right. Re-visioning or healing at a level which brings us into, or back into connections that open our minds and/or allow for a healthy exchange of the life force energy to be a part of the process with an emphasis on love and intimacy.

The Nine of Cups in our Northern Quarter tells us that there is success to be had in this attempt, relationships offering rewards that are both satisfying and healthy. Achieving what we want, or your “wish coming true.” Be mindful of what you are wishing for and careful of overindulgence.

In our place of power rides the Knight of Pentacles, the Eastern Door and new things but he is a very heavy card, his mind bent to details, minutia, and the letter of the law. This may feel burdensome or overly prudent. My feeling tells me that he (potentially a she) is someone bearing a gift that we should consider (two of cups)  against the expansive feeling / energies / that we would like to execute.

For some I would question whether this is your idealism meeting practicality, and missing the generosity that is being offered because you can’t be bothered with details.

Potentially this could be a “Knight in shining armor.”

The Moon makes a marked appearance in the realm of our mind. Another emotional card, it is for us to reflect the light of the star through our selves so that our mind is focused on the proper channel of light, not the fears or doubts of the past.

That does highlight the importance of the Knight of Pentacles.

In the Western Door is an inverted Nine of Wands, asking about what sort of experience we are drawing on. The healing is in listening and releasing the past and how you move through your emotional relationships and connections. What is old and outmoded should be clear because you are experiencing it yet again. This isn’t a warning of defeat, simply a note to you saying that you are experiencing a newness and any One (Ace of Wands) bringing the passion of ideas, needs to be looked at as a new creature. A new creation. A new dance that should be experienced, not ticked and weighted against your past and any drama, hurt, or pain you may be holding onto.

In broader sweeps I see the release of emotional baggage, and karma associated with relationships. Clearing the channel leaves the healer, visionary, open to hold a greater space for love, insight, and energy to pass through.

Others, healers, and seers are the forerunners of tomorrow, keep your self healthy. Observe your interactions, your relationships, how you meet them, tend them, and cultivate them.

Our true message is within the center of these fires of the heart.

There is an air of “everything is fine,” but there are elements here that suggest facing some truths or facts of life that you may be trying to dodge or ignore. Pluto’s going to do a little dance with Mercury during the week and this is a message to pay close attention to the details and our surroundings.  White phoenix remains in play, highlighting transformations so the details can illuminate changes, passages, and finer notes on our Journey.

There is some judgement being applied in two facets as the Temperance card holds the center and ask us to bind together elements, maybe even opposites. Higher and body wisdom, inner tug and the news from a meeting. Our hearts call and our lovers words. With the amount of pentacles in the meeting here, and the oppositions and reinforcing cards, I’m going to go with things related to business, money, contracts, projects, construction / building.

Our choices take us through well-worn paths or, when we shift, suddenly open new doors and show opportunities we might not have seen if we had gone the way of before. I’m going to take a little leap here and say it’s an opportunity to combine forces in some way, (Temperance + Three of Pentacles) with an emphasis on projects or constructive gigs.

Be open and aware of a few things:

  • Shared or divergent goals
  • Details of contracts or negotiations
  • Any sort of stipulations on deadlines, criteria for work, etc that we may have overlooked.

Note the Four of Pentacles and watch for your inner “one-way… MY WAY” reactions. You poor thing, you may have to suffer a few alterations to the design, never worry the present asks for  new creativity in our collaborations / contracts and you may find those doors opening in places previously unseen.

Watch for smugness, impassivity, indecision, stubbornness; especially any sort of stalemates or stand offs. These are your red flags. Are you being hard-headed? Do you  need to decide your course? Can you see what is happening beyond your personal perspective?

Be a good goat and pull up the horns, the solution is not found in butting heads. 🙂

Hello hello.

I’m very sorry for the late post, but I’ve had a very busy and full day… and this isn’t my full time job, however much I would like for it to be. No really, pay me and I will make it so. *wink*

Any-ho-ho here’s the bits from the reading and a few updates. They all interrelate, you know how I like to draw lines.

First the Conscious Life Expo (post conference) with Hank Wesselman.

As I read The Bowl of Light and get better acquainted with him and the story I am moved to comment and support his work and path. You can read the review here, at Lifencompass. I love this book.

Yesterday was no exception to my enjoyment, or my exploration. Hank is lovingly multifaceted, humorous, intelligent, detailed, wise, and learned. I sat in the presence of an elder and I came away better for it. First for knowing that his work rings truth and second that he is, really, a walker between worlds. There was a distinctive twinkle in his eyes that communicated the light of what he represents and teaches. We’re lucky to have him, and people like him, in the world today. He sees into you, he looks at you from the heart. A Shaman.

After the seminar, and some Journey Work to the drum: forgiveness. Healing. Compassion. My friend K and I took some time to catch up and talk about events in the world. Most specifically the recent changes and the quickened, or compact, nature of the latests shifts. (See end of last year through present).

I have to reference this week, last weeks reading:

The spirit addresses us in those who command the physical. Men or women who are rulers in their own right, leaders, kings, emperors, politicians, officials. The light shines through them, their message or the message around them. This is significant in that their decisions are affecting our environment, the physical and social realms that we operate within. The mother.

We are rulers in our own right. Do not let persuasive power move you. Keep your wit and your strength, by claiming your own choices (destiny) and going the direction that feels right for your own growth, practice, or period of life.

This flows with and through a pervasive sense of rising waters as the energy shifts in the subtle, that are chaning consciousness. It is as if the flavor of things have changed and we are all experiencing it. Some of us on a conscious level, others simply living through it.

This week the catalyst has been sent to us. The cracks in the world of last weeks reading have been set to motion, as the Tower places center in our weekly spread.

I would like to have this song playing but the music The House that Jack Built playing as you read the weekly, but I couldn’t find a quality version online.

This is the house that Jack built, y’all
Remember this house!

This was the land that he worked by hand
The was the dream of an upright man
This was the room that was filled with love
This was a love that I was proud of
This was a life of a love I planned
Of a love and a life we loved
Of the house that Jack built.
Remember this house!

There was the fence that held our love,
There was the gate that he walked out of
This is the heart that is turned to stone
This was the house, but it ain’t no home
This is the love that I once had
In a dream that I thought was love,
This is the house that Jack built,
I’m gonn’ remember this house!

Oh-ohh wha-a-at’s the use of crying?
Because I brought it on myself
There’s no denying
But it see-e-ee-ems awful funny
That I didn’t understand
Was it a house of an upright man

~Aretha Franklkin

The call this week is for authenticity. To speak from the place of power that has been defined by ourself, within ourself, and in the world and relationships. Our dear Queen of Swords has appeared again in reverse. Though normally she is the direct speaker, often received as harsh, her words are now split or subtle. This tells me that our words can be misinterpreted or that observing the inner dialogue will reveal motivations or paths that can lead us to our goals without direct intervention or confrontation.

These are mental games to watch for in yourself. In either realm, especially the energetic, keep your poise and balance by maintaining grace and authenticity. Be moved by your choices and not the choices of others…

The next two cards ask questions about our changes. What are you holding on? Why are you holding on to it?  What are your choices? What feels right in the heart and makes sense? The heart is not the leader but one of our voices, the conversation must include the head for discernment and practicality. Meaning that you can spend a lot of time over analyzing but, hello *poke* this is the tower, it’s burning. Time to move folks.

Change is upon you but the power to deflect what can feel like a strike at you is yours. Authenticity requires that we are absolutely truthful with ourself about ourself, our motives, wants, and needs. Act from a place of light and awareness. That very thing lessens any connection to human dramas that may evolve from this change. Be above it (spiritual) and within it (grounded and present), let your honesty shine.

Change is now. It is irrevocable as a cycle completes a final turn and begins to close. The time for planning and negotiating, deciding direction and picking opportunities is past. The Tower burns, meaning that the structure is indeed hashed, the end is now.

The Eight of Cups Reversed….

“The reversed Eight of Cups suggests that you may be feeling confused about where your best options lie. Part of you wants to explore new horizons and possibilities, but another part of you fears that in doing so, you’ll miss out on what your current circumstances have to offer.

The Eight of Cups reversed also represents knowing when to walk away from a situation that is ultimately not working for you.” ~Biddy Tarot

“In a reversed position, the Eight of Cups often indicates struggles concerning separation or moving on. There may be on over attachment to one’s past. In some cases, the Eight of Cups can indicate co-dependency or fear of being alone. There may be a reluctance to mature or grow up. Although you may feel dissatisfied, your fears are preventing you from moving on.” ~Tarot Readings online.

The fear there to be watched for is “giving up the dream,” because it could feel like you are walking away from your path. The reality is that only you can abandon that dream. Situations do not force you away from it, they only offer alternative directions is our intentions are set on the path and the goal.

The path can hardly be called a straight line from point A to point B. There are twists and turns.

I see that moment in the movie Labyrinth where a young Jennifer Connelly, as Sarah is entering the labyrinth. A little catarpillar tries to direct her through what appears to be a solid wall. No going forward, no way in, but it is an illusion. She passes through the the wall and see’s two new directions.

Unfortunately Sarah doesn’t heed the advice of her little ally and she takes a left or right path, when she could have walked right up to the tower of the Goblin King and skipped the whole dam labyrinth. Isn’t that the fools quest…

My intuition points at this: quiet your tongue about your goal and ambition, much like spell-craft it can be knocked off course by psychic interfearence. (Often unitentional). Keep that to yourself or only with those who have your goal in mind and support it, unequivocally. The end of a period related to structures in your life has come.  Do not fall into despair, walk hidden paths, seek the exit from the structure which is crumbling around you. This is a physical structure as in a job or home situation, things built on agreements with other people.

Say goodbye to that House that Jack Built, use the challenges you have at the moment to strengthen your inner fire; and protect that flame, veil it.

The support you may need can come from high and/or low. The presence of the White Phoenix lends aid from the upper realms as spiritual transformation, mirroring what happens at the soul level. As above so below.

And below… Yes there is a pink stone, a rhodochrosite on a matrix of pyrite. This is both protection (pyrite) and energizing and related to the heart (rhodochrosite) helping to circulate the energy of love, compassion, alchemy, and transformation.

Times can seem trying, tough, but if we keep faith in our abilities, self-determination, and instincts while lending trust to the forces that seek our betterment both physically and spiritually we can overcome anything and evolve into something greater.

Know. Will. Dare. Keep silent. And give offerings of thanks for those that assist you.

Welcome back.

The Sun entered Aquarius and we’re given the boon of the star in this weeks reading. I like these combinations between astrological movements and the cards that come into play during the weekly. It gives me a little smile and expands the trust I have in the universe. There is also a note with Saturn, Retrograde (January 26th), which as the great restrictror is asking for a look at commitments we made to projects and/or goals. Reorganize. Restructure. Revisit and prepare for the next movement forward. This retrograde is is in Libra and that pings a few things for me…

Seeking balance or agreements that feel right for you in relationships. Finding, through the re-visioning or restructuring, a new sense of going ahead with your plans or relations that is not only better put together but also feels snug, correct in an emotional way. It’s as if we look back and see, “AH! That’s what was bugging me about this!” and so we change and it “fits.” Also keep in mind that Saturn is generally in retrograde 1/2 of a year, so look at it this sort of (seeming) backward moving period as part of life. It’s there 50% of the time and just par for the course, the cycle, and the season of living.

I think this Saturn (R) should be interesting as well as the President delivers his State of the Union speech. As you know the President outlines his legislative agenda but we’ve had a few bucks to the system lately. There are a lot of talking heads yammering about right now about what the President should and should not do and say. I wonder if Barak Obama will find the words that “fit” the changes that must be made. Congress serves their constituents, the President serves the people. Let’s hope they work together.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Jan 24-30, 2011

There is a pause before the change. There is a time of stillness before newness. A moment of darkness before birth.

Like any good leader you have to garner the type of mind that knows when to act and when to remain still. Leading does not require constance manning the  helm at all hours of the day, micro-managing is ANNOYING. It’s time for pow wow, not only a meeting but a gathering of strength and coming together to seek the answers that will best serve us as we come to a close on this last years big changes. Retrogrades and reverses, the World reversed for example, do not mean do not do, although they can I think they are generally there for evaluation. To curb our head strong beast and ask us to stop, look, listen.

That the Star appears, and this is in conjunction with the Saturn+Libra, I think we’re finding the perfect time for inner landscaping seeking answers, solace, and even healing, or in my case easing the spiritual passage. I have the great fortune of knowing many readers, intuitive folk (and the like) and drawing on these friendly resources last week I found a common thread of answer for my own Journey. The message of the spiritual re-birth was clear and the pathway opened before me.

From that path, and the reading, I would like to offer a few tips that may ease your passage in this period of observation, fine-tuning, and easing.

  1. Nurture your process with things of beauty, and acts of beauty. You may think of this as spiritually midwifing and seek out the healer within. Baths, massage, a special therapeutic ceremony that offers healing (The Star) can help you. Even energy work for the sake of something like love, joy, healing, or laughter, sensual giving… these are parts of the pattern of nurturing.
  2. Take advice. In the birthing passage it is hard to see anything else but the way out. It’s sometimes hard to feel anything but the birthing pain. These are leading you towards the new life but it is wise to seek outside perspective, especially when you are simultaneously the mother and the child. It can be confusing (I know) but a little common sense from the doctor can make a world of difference in your perspective.
  3. Expand your graces. Seek support  from your spiritual allies who are probably very involved in your changes. Give offerings. I’ve decorated my house in sweet blossoms not only to bask in the fragrance but to symbolically represent the new birth and give up the blooms to the gods and guides who watch over me.

I’m personally in the midst of this process but after I sought assistance and took the necessary steps to make right for my self and my transformation things began to right themselves. A little self-care can go a long way. I bit of insight can expand a limited insight.

Though the King of Swords is here to call action and progress, I must remind each general that they need a bath, a brush, and a cup of tea with an advisor at the end of the day. No one is capable of doing it all themselves.

Be well,

What a day!

Just when I thought I  wouldn’t be able to get my info for the reading I found a surprising source of insight from a friend who really helped me to flesh out this weeks draw. Though the conversation was very personal the highlighted information from the Tarot was relevant to the trend of energy.

It is a time to end transitions, endings, change, and finish up old Karmic lessons to make way for new things. Moreover we’re looking at impulses on innovation, movements towards things that bring a little excitement to the routine and questioning how we can take advantage of supporting hidden influences that are pointed at capitalizing on our success in our goals and resolutions for a different and better life.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly jan 10 - 16, 2011

I’m calling this one the procession of days. Dont’ get used to it. I’m never sure how the cards will be pulled until the little nudges and pushes start.

You will note the following cards.

Key: Three of Wands (R)
Monday – Friday pull, the procession of days: Five of Cups (R), Temperance (R), Wheel of Fortune (R), Death (R), Five of Pentacles, Nine of Wands, The Hierophant.

Feel free to lay those out and give them a read. Remember that I’m drawing the trend, applicable / situational “fine-tuning” is in your court. It’s a little hard to read for everyone, when each of us have differing details in our lives.

What we’re looking at here is a message to being receptive to new ideas or direction. Where can you talents, or energies in life best be used? Are you happy with your focus and situation? What is missing? How can things change in the way that would best work for you and your happiness?

At the start of the week watch for emotional low notes that can carry over and lead you to lose your inner balance. If not yourself, because you are a cosmic surfer and can ride these waves, you may see it in those around you as the week progresses.

There is a detail indicator on Tuesday which for me, with the Temperance there can be an “either /or” situation. To much focus, or not enough. I say “either / or” because (naturally) we have to look at each personal situation individually. Not all are in the same space. So the question is, are you riding the wave or crashing beneath it. In balance the details of important transactions (monetary or emotional) can add value or give credit where credit is due for you; if you are in the midst of the crashing wave and “out of balance” this can be a signal that you should probably check the focus or the range you may be swinging back and forth between the balance point because you’re out of whack; and because you’re whack is out, you are not seeing things from the proper perspective of your own betterment and well being. Operative word for what we are looking for, balance point: Where is it, are you in it?

Two signs of change are upon s in this reading, Death and The Wheel of fortune but they are both inverted. What are the details of the last few months that have been transition themed and are you seated in a place where endings and new beginnings, or renewal, are the focus. With the Wheel I’m seeing a return of the same karmic cycle. Same relationship problems. Same gripes. Same. Same. Same, BUT with now being the time to shift the internal low gear vibrations to a lighter or less dense level of stuck to change. A change of luck?

This is also interesting because Mercury is entering Capricorn on Thursday until February 4th, which is emphasizing details, structure and our place within it. Newness can be captured in innovation that can further our own happiness and success.

What is it you are trying to change / transition, and why has it gone through the lengthy process it has? Have you reached the point where the truth of what you are experiencing, what you want, and where you can change have been distilled to the point of new purpose?

Wednesday morning there is an early and notable charge of energy from Uranus, that can affect your attitude and your zap to charge your attitude to put you in the right direction.

The energy then shifts after the mid-week and I think if we have taken these initiatives there are opportunities for monetary gain, or benefit physically from productivity that we put into our goals and the will power continues to thrive towards transitioning out of the old way and into the new. End week is an assertion of will under the guise of The Hierophant, bringing down those “spiritual” energies and grounding them in the physical.

What better day, eh? Mars enters Aquarius in the afternoon bringing the fire into the consciousness, stirring our original impulse, allowing for break through and sudden illumination.

I love how the cards align…

Anyway, thank you for reading, hope to see you next week.

Well, hello again from the other side of 2011. I’ve been sick for about two weeks and having finally gotten the rest needed to be well I’ve got a skip in my step and a twinkle in my eye. Beware the twinkle. *giggle*

Whether it is the rest and recovery or the pervasive sense of newness and optimism that I have about entering a new year and a new decade, I feel good things, they are a coming.

Updates

These things come of changes and not all changes are sunshine and lollipops. I made some significant changes while in my down time. Cocooned I thought a few things, which I will mention here because you probably wont see them in my blog any more.

First I love food and I like to write about it but I’m moving that over to stay at Twitter and Facebook. Tho I can’t say I wont ever post anything on food, I don’t plan on adding recipe’s to the posts on health and well-being on Friday’s any longer. Those types of posts don’t seem to jive with my new vibe. That said I’m also bowing out of the news at Lifencompass. Again, I will relegate that to the facebook and / or twitter, or personal account pages. For me, I don’t see the benefit of the Spirit of Lifencompass.

I do have some lovely new, warm, glowing things coming like limited edition zines (they’re not what you would expect), and a healing circle late this month for friends and students that will open up to the public for those that are interested in healing topics. Expect a post about the healing circle later in the month, I’m planning for the end of January.

Any-who, those are my updates, let’s dig into the weekly. 🙂

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Jan 03-09-11

Re-address your ideas, plans, and progress from new eyes. Put yourself in the place of beginnings, new energy, direction, projects, year, and new decade. Alternatives are being presented to you, facets of the “truth” that can be seen from different angles. It’s important to recognize that our view is limited. It’s cliché, maybe, but true. When we are open to different takes on what we believe we could walk away with a grander design.

Four of wands (R) cautions us about a limited vision, the narrow focus but also says (spiritually) that there is still movement or transition occurring. This could justify tunnel vision as we focus on each step, “processing,” or detailing our progress in change. That is OK. The footnote is that we don’t want our head bent to far forward into the minutia that we miss the opportunity of other voices that have the potential to be exponentially beneficial to our projects.

Note: Mercury Retrograde is over folks. There was a high level of creative input during this phase of Mercury (R) and it’s time to put it out there, or at least put it into motion. But these are sketches, drafts, you  might seek your editor, critique, or other constructive voices to find how you can take what you have to a whole new level.

SHARE.

Folding back in on yourself (ahem… note to self here) can be counter-productive to any new goals you may have.

So, in short.

  • Keep a high note with new ideas.
  • Open yourself up to alternatives to the path or process.
  • Seek potential partners or new perspectives on any resolutions.
  • Watch the “go solo” push. Although you could probably succeed at what you are aiming for, you would also probably benefit most from collaborators. Check it out before you try to go it alone. You may find insights, help, new creative spins that will rocket your plans into new stratosphere’s.

My new ideas are flashy. Personally what I would like to accomplish reminds me of the peacock, and that is why the feathers appear in the Tarot Weekly. I do however feel a similarity or cross-over with the Phoenix… Is that a Phoecock (Phoenix Peacock?). LOL. Anyway. It’s important to me to mention because the vision of the fiery feathered bird appeared in my minds eye at the start when I called in the Guides, Gods and the Hidden Company to be present and deliver the reading.

A Phoenix is reborn from the ashes. An idea is brought back to life, flaming, bright, and with all the (natural) pageantry of the peacock.

Something to think on. Gather this all, roll it around in your meditation, and the answer will come to you.

Promise.

Welcome back.

We are in the retrograde period of Mercury, until the 30th of December. I’ve posted a heads up, and a new thought on boy Mercury. Things to consider.

Now let us begin the weekly…

Tarot Weekly Dec. 13-19

Judgement is the theme. I’m continuing with the integrative growth theme, from last weeks reading, as it feels to be “the time” for this to take effect. Decisions from last week, appear again with the Two of Pentacles. This was a six shuffle, three split spread and he still popped his little head into the reading. For me this highlights the conclusions about whatever ideas or issues may have surfaced in the last week that we have felt the inner pull to complete, pursue, or otherwise follow. Last week was deciding, this week is moving forward.

What is the new way? Can you find the path of light? This is the way we must walk, this is the direction we must follow. Lead from the heart, guide with the head, trust your connection to your higher power.

Judgment sensitizes the integration, making it keen, stressing the importance of bringing all parts together to a common cause or purpose. We should not be divided and if we find that we are then we should take a moment to regroup and find common focus. This can be seen in group dynamics (job, friends, etc) but that highlight should be on integration of your idea, not being pulled by many different stresses in many different directions. It is time to reel in your thoughts, bring back the focus to the self and swallow the fear. What brings us together within?

Note we haven’t seen the 20th Key, Judgement, up until now. This is something that should be observed.

The Queen in reverse then represents those who would take down our ideas. She who cuts. The Underminer. This can be aspect of the self that spells defeating ideas, thoughts, feelings, but can also be a woman who represents the same things in your life. The two are related because she is working directly with your shadow (doubt, fear) and obligingly responding to that voice. Wisdom would be creating some distance between you and her but insight would say that the perspective should be on the self since we are in a Mercury Retrograde and what is being communicated under the surface on the subtle level may be indicative of the area where growth is needed.

Maybe even a little bit of self love to a truly needy part of who we are. 🙂

Watch out for a whiff of “the Judge”. We’re not talking about laying down the law here. We are talking about unification under a higher calling or greater idea, gathering all parts and leading forward in a new direction, the right way. That forward movement may not happen immediately but we are wise to prepare before that time comes.

I may have a few more things on this topic as the week continues some small suggestions would be:

  • Higher Self meditations (Holy Guardian Angel, Master Work).
  • Starting the day with chanting, vibrational work for peaceful unification.
  • Loving. Loving the Mother energies. Encouraging the mothering instinct.
  • Glow. Shine.

It appears we’re entering the Mercury Storm… Say what? Yes this is the period of “going into retrograde” as the planet appears to slow. It would be a good time to edit and finish transactions, deals, contracts, escrow, etc. We don’t want these in the retrograde period.

Mercury will be Retrograde from December 10 – December 30th, first in Capricorn and then Sagittarius. You won’t believe this but there should be about four paragraphs here… In the middle of my post, WordPress just logged out and I lost everything. Auto-save didn’t take. 😦

So I’ll have to summarize my last 30 minutes and I think Sandra Helton, at Shirley MacLaine site can help me best.

“Mercury goes retrograde Friday in Capricorn until December 19 and continuing to be retrograde until December 30 in Sagittarius.

There is likely to be great shuffling of papers and forms and anything you have needed to take care of over the past few months but have let slide. You have what it takes to get it all in working order and that is what you should be doing.

Many will rethink family traditions and strive to connect to relatives and bring the holiday season full circle to what was or what is meaningful. The very stabilizing Sun sextile Saturn energy puts forth just the right energy for cementing bonds and laying lasting foundations that become a part of your life in the days ahead and well into 2011.”

Link to full Astrological forecast.

Edit and finish contracts, deals, and personally I think we should be mindful of Mercurial influences over the rest of the month as December, our biggest holiday month generally speaking, probably has the more travel, transactions, and communication packed into 30 days then some people have in two-thirds of their year. Keep in mind last weeks notes on taking care of the self, and carry forward with the highlight of any retrograde, this is an inner journey time so do your best to communicate from the core, and travel ahead with the spirit. Transactions should have a meaning for you. Give from the heart. Speak as you would like to be spoken to… I think you get my meaning.

So onto the cards.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Dec 6 - 12th

So… I’m going to go with growth through integrative experience this week. Doesn’t mean positive, or negative, could be either or, but the set up doesn’t seem that serious to me with the exception of a possible loss of place, or recognition of a long term process of change that could be making itself visible.

Let me explain the later and then loop back to the beginning. As I pulled the cards this morning a scenario unfolded in my minds eye, indicating a loss of a job. My heart bumped up a beat but I calmed because I recognized that it wasn’t me, but was connected to my life and so I would see or hear about it.

Later this morning I heard the news. It was close in proximity, I was a bit surprised.

What does this have to do with the weekly? Well… I had a hard time with that. I got the personal message with this one and I’m trying to expand it into a broader spectrum so that we can see how it applies to all of us. Seems to me that the message of the young visionary, looking out into the world and making a decision to move forward, unfortunately the decision is framed in the context of loss (9 of swords) and the eventual end of a journey (three of wands, reversed) which is the need for a new direction.

Psyche forms the root of the reading, the underbelly of movement that feels crocodilian in that there is the element of surprise in the news or change. The surface of the water seems calm… “Snap!” goes the mouth of the crocodile who dives back to the depths, and the water appears calm once again.

The observer on the other hand has been given a message and despite the calm waters they have been shown another side to life, death (change) and this becomes the tool we must take to hand. You see Psyche, grows from her experience. She is our mythic transport into our own underbelly and is asking if we realize that we have come to a decision, or that our recent decisions (path at this time) has come to a conclusion or finale.

Up from the inner world comes the gift of insight, sometimes in a sudden flash we find that we can startle ourselves.

Take note of your changes this week, specifically what you may be unconsciously communicating to yourself as this could bleed into a retrograde journey of discovery.

Emergence is the surfacing power or idea, coming out from within.

Well, I believe I’m done for the week there… 🙂
