Tarot Weekly 3/28-4/3/11

A break away from a usual or old way of thinking that could be a negative voice within. Check that. Watch for the inner saboteur, our own trickster when it comes to foundations and / or foundations of passions. We could inadvertently cause our own stumble.

Ideas and plans are still young and, yes, even immature, but everything has it’s cycle from birth to death. We are in a state of constant Bardo, culture young thoughts as would a child. Stoke enthusiasm, creativity, and spontaneity. Cultivate those resonating relationships that are highlighting the free spirit, and lift up the melancholy.

Let go with that grip! Clinging to the way things are or what you don’t wan to let go of (mentally speaking), and embracing the security of change, the flow, movement and newness. Open up your mind, seek improvement by learning through the experience.

There may be concern about how this affects your standing in the eyes of others but one should be cautioned not to be so self deceptive about self importance, or egotistical about the person we wish to be perceived as. Our friends and loved ones see us for who we are, not just the mister or misses popularity that we want them to see.

Examine our reflection. Explore our spontaneity, our inner adolescent. See our self in the moving, dancing, singing, spring time world around us. It is young again.

Note: Mercury is going to go Retrograde this week, on the 30th.

It’s time to be mindful of what we are communicating, transmitting, sending and receiving in our messages psychic, and on the world wide web. *wink* There is a Mars / Aries action adding to an emphasis on the child and action, but that could also lead to foot in mouth disease. Laugh it off. Be light.

Be well,

The Plane of Ecliptic is illustrated in this C...

The plane of ecliptic

Since timing was one of the notes in this weeks Weekly, I thought I would mention Magickal Timing as part of the Journey this week. I’m not very good at tracking the stars but as I delve into the science of magick I realize how important it has been in the past to know my correspondences.

Taliesin Mcknight illustrates a what I feel are the essentials. I still can’t wrap my head around timing the hour to the planet but that’s why I have an astro-calendar. 😉 Someone’s good at it, I’ll listen to them.

Also, if you read the post, there is a bit about timing on internal influences, which should always be considered.

((EXCERPT))

Tips for Magickal Timing

Author: Taliesin McKnight

Magick is a very ancient science, and one thing that the sages of old have passed on to us is magickal timing. This truly reveals the scientific nature of the craft. Think of the sun, moon, and stars as a great cosmic clock. Everything has its time and place. The Master and founder of Christianity said that there is a time and a season for everything. This certainly is the case with occult science. There are certain cycles in the natural order and certain ebbs and flows exist in the Universe. Therefore, to move with the tides and cycles of nature is to add power to your spells and rituals. To go against these rhythms is to swim against the current, so to speak. Magick may still be effective, but not nearly as much so if done at the appropriate time. There are four main things to consider when doing magick: the cycles of the planets, the Sun, the Moon, and the weather. In addition to these there are internal conditions that are important for magick.

There are seven ancient planets recognized by the ancient astrologers and magicians. The seven ancient planets are the Sun, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. You may notice that, not only are certain planets omitted, but also some are added that are not even considered planets by modern standards. Nonetheless, these are the astrological forces considered when working magick. The seven ancient planets have been called the “Governors of the World.”

This is because the great cosmic clock is said to affect the destiny of Man, and they hold in their hands the strange and surreal element known as fate. The seven planets rule over the seven days of the week and the planets also rule the hours in the day. The names that we have for the days of the week are derived from: Sunday (Sun day) , Monday (Moon day) , Tuesday (Mars day) , Wednesday (Mercury day) , Thursday (Jupiter day) , Friday (Venus day) , and Saturday (Saturn day) . Thus, when doing a love spell, for example, it would be best to do this on a Friday and during the hour of Venus (more on this in a moment) . Below I have listed the seven planets and their characteristics and correspondences.

Tarot Weekly February 7 - 13, 2011

The spirit addresses us in those who command the physical. Men or women who are rulers in their own right, leaders, kings, emperors, politicians, officials. The light shines through them, their message or the message around them. This is significant in that their decisions are affecting our environment, the physical and social realms that we operate within. The mother.

We are rulers in our own right. Do not let persuasive power move you. Keep your wit and your strength, by claiming your own choices (destiny) and going the direction that feels right for your own growth, practice, or period of life.

Watch mid week when Pluto and Venus do a little dance with each other, Atrapos. This can magnify the energies of these relationships so be sure of yourself, your heart, and your aim on your path because it could be altered if you are not. Note needing something over simply wanting it. Discern between the two.

Watch for tendencies to be miserly, greedy, emotionally aloof or closed. The state of giving and abundance are true gifts, and when we are centered in them we shine and other paths open before us. Gratitude attitude.

Small changes are apparent in the structures we have depended on. Cracks that appear now, foreshadowing changes to come. The Tower is noted by those who did not head the warnings to evacuate the building, thus having to throw themselves from the parapets screaming and ablaze. We can change better than that. We’re evolving. We’re awake in our feelings and intuition. We honor these emotions and indicators. Feel  natural and in harmony with this.

There is a wealth of astrological information about the daily movements at Shirley’s site. If you have your own astrological resource please refer to her or him as there seems to be some interesting points along the weekly map with the Moon, Mercury, and Saturn.

Be strong. Inner discipline regarding earthly matters about the administration of your life / business. Exude abundance. Watch for social-political, or otherwise influences from bosses, government, or key figures of power in your life. Be sure the decisions you are making are based on the scenarios you are attempting to manifest in your life and not the desire to please, ease, or make light of uncomfortable situations related to these figures. Do not operate from fear…

Abundance. Empress. Earth mother.

Exude it with confidence, softness, and throw in a wink.

Happy Moon-day.

OK so this one is a bit punchy. I’ve had to start and stop a few times.

I’ve spent the morning pulling cards, sipping java, shooing dogs and pouring over forecasts. I like to see the information I receive and find contrasts and comparisons in other channels. Tho I consider many sides I tend to follow the light of my own wisdom and pull in whatever seems to resonate with that message. My intention for each weekly has always been for spiritual growth, evolution even, of the reader with the context of issues and energies that arise. These are drawn from the Tarot.

It has been noted, and this was truly appreciated, that certain cards can combine to mean certain things and I agree with this but as mentioned before, I’m pulling for a wide range: Others, healers, and those who are intending to lift the vibration of those around them. I believe in the principle of spiritual evolution, even if I don’t believe in aspects of many general theories about ascension, etc. Part of the reading is through my lense then and I see that as being a spiritual being, connected, living in the world, of the world (earth), and not waiting to exit it into a better “here after.” I’m concerned with the here and now and our affect in it, learning to grow as an individual and excel in doing better by assisting others.

As you know I don’t always succeed, and so the Journey was born. In part The Journey is a  journal, an honest log my experience, not as some authority but as a demonstration. This for me is living out loud for you to watch and maybe find connection to what comes through. Comparative experience. Being a Leo / Virgo cusp the detail oriented show off get’s a little rise out of that. ha. ha. ha. If you are interested in past Weekly’s, you can find them here at Lifencompass.com.

So, that said, let me begin…

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Jan 31-Feb 06, 2011

There is an initial energy of detail orientation this week, starting with a need to explain or massage out your message. Follow it without letting it overrun your day. Pink is a strong color for Monday (see Laurie Cabot’s daily color pull on Twitter. Love it).  The rest of it sort of stretches out for me in the following way.

New moon Aquarius followed by Mercury entering Aquarius causing the mind to flourish in expanding ideas communicating them down to a more… having trouble with the operative word here. I want to say something like mundane, practical, or human. Well you know those “whacky Aquarian’s,” with their crazy and controversial ideas can seem totally out of step. BUT really they ARE in their own step, and the power of Aquarius brought into a planet of communication for us can mean a few things including experiencing anything from a little bit of wildness, to detailing out big ideas and more innovation in communicating these into the world. Our cup will overflow…

Speaking of which the Ace of Cups appears in our spread, card two, and I have a sense of the Bowl of Light or the Three Cauldrons pouring over rather gaily with the energies they carry. This may seem like a period of effervescence (had to spell check that one) but the uplifting feeling may need some grounding. Don’t worry the cards around the cauldron tho obstacles and potential be earthing forces.

There may be a hack at the legs of your stability (recently) that has caused all your upward “hurrah” to come to a halt. That’s the grounding of the effervescence (above). Alternatively this could be a lost opportunity. You strove to make a goal and it doesn’t pan out.

There could be a few things including (King of Cups) a lack of decisiveness, wallowing in emotional excess, or generally feeling or being made to feel uncertain about your situation, standing, and feelings.

There is a double hitter here with another card (King of Pentacles) which feels for some like someone who was just restricting the hell out of you with an overbearing nature. Niggling issues of money, or bottom lines. They (the King of Pent type) might call it practicality, I call it bulling their opinion. Image of bull in the sitting room, woopse there goes the *China.* If this is an aspect of self it is focusing in on details of money, the method that progress or your movement is implemented. Remember that Saturn has gone Retrograde (no biggie in the bigger picture) so there are some restrictions that do apply to our growth and progress. Check to see if they are yours or reflections through others.

These are court cards so… could be people  but it could also be yourself. I want to put the two together and say stubborn emotional insistence. In the case of people be mindful that it may not be “negativity” it just may be that your paths are divergent. Mindfulness of what the message may be as paths cross could be illuminating. Note the meaning for yourself, take that minute to look at the broader picture, and go back to the beat of your own Aquarian drum.

There is an energy in February that feels light. Yes it’s Imbolc, or Candelmas, and so it is a start in Light for us. We’re also approaching the Chinse Lunar New Year.

For me, the summary would be…

Slow down and enjoy the uplift, it doesn’t last forever. Things happen that may set us back and we might have the tendency to vilify the people who are responsible for holding us back. In my opinion, that’s a waste of energy. Watch for emotional pits or wallowing (in any emotional state) that takes away from the here-and-now, stubbornness, insistence on your own way, or emotional weight gains that you may want to throw around, or that are being thrown at you.

Let’s call those psychic calisthenics. You know, heavy balls, etc. 😉 Exercising the mind in a series of hurdles, catchs, throws and leaps. Again, “Aquarian Drum.”

Enjoy a moment of light today or tomorrow. Fill your home with light. Light of friends and loved ones. Light of the Gods, stars, the Universe. And make a little celebration. Maybe even find a Chinese New Year party or Celebration on Thursday.

Welcome back.

The Sun entered Aquarius and we’re given the boon of the star in this weeks reading. I like these combinations between astrological movements and the cards that come into play during the weekly. It gives me a little smile and expands the trust I have in the universe. There is also a note with Saturn, Retrograde (January 26th), which as the great restrictror is asking for a look at commitments we made to projects and/or goals. Reorganize. Restructure. Revisit and prepare for the next movement forward. This retrograde is is in Libra and that pings a few things for me…

Seeking balance or agreements that feel right for you in relationships. Finding, through the re-visioning or restructuring, a new sense of going ahead with your plans or relations that is not only better put together but also feels snug, correct in an emotional way. It’s as if we look back and see, “AH! That’s what was bugging me about this!” and so we change and it “fits.” Also keep in mind that Saturn is generally in retrograde 1/2 of a year, so look at it this sort of (seeming) backward moving period as part of life. It’s there 50% of the time and just par for the course, the cycle, and the season of living.

I think this Saturn (R) should be interesting as well as the President delivers his State of the Union speech. As you know the President outlines his legislative agenda but we’ve had a few bucks to the system lately. There are a lot of talking heads yammering about right now about what the President should and should not do and say. I wonder if Barak Obama will find the words that “fit” the changes that must be made. Congress serves their constituents, the President serves the people. Let’s hope they work together.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Jan 24-30, 2011

There is a pause before the change. There is a time of stillness before newness. A moment of darkness before birth.

Like any good leader you have to garner the type of mind that knows when to act and when to remain still. Leading does not require constance manning the  helm at all hours of the day, micro-managing is ANNOYING. It’s time for pow wow, not only a meeting but a gathering of strength and coming together to seek the answers that will best serve us as we come to a close on this last years big changes. Retrogrades and reverses, the World reversed for example, do not mean do not do, although they can I think they are generally there for evaluation. To curb our head strong beast and ask us to stop, look, listen.

That the Star appears, and this is in conjunction with the Saturn+Libra, I think we’re finding the perfect time for inner landscaping seeking answers, solace, and even healing, or in my case easing the spiritual passage. I have the great fortune of knowing many readers, intuitive folk (and the like) and drawing on these friendly resources last week I found a common thread of answer for my own Journey. The message of the spiritual re-birth was clear and the pathway opened before me.

From that path, and the reading, I would like to offer a few tips that may ease your passage in this period of observation, fine-tuning, and easing.

  1. Nurture your process with things of beauty, and acts of beauty. You may think of this as spiritually midwifing and seek out the healer within. Baths, massage, a special therapeutic ceremony that offers healing (The Star) can help you. Even energy work for the sake of something like love, joy, healing, or laughter, sensual giving… these are parts of the pattern of nurturing.
  2. Take advice. In the birthing passage it is hard to see anything else but the way out. It’s sometimes hard to feel anything but the birthing pain. These are leading you towards the new life but it is wise to seek outside perspective, especially when you are simultaneously the mother and the child. It can be confusing (I know) but a little common sense from the doctor can make a world of difference in your perspective.
  3. Expand your graces. Seek support  from your spiritual allies who are probably very involved in your changes. Give offerings. I’ve decorated my house in sweet blossoms not only to bask in the fragrance but to symbolically represent the new birth and give up the blooms to the gods and guides who watch over me.

I’m personally in the midst of this process but after I sought assistance and took the necessary steps to make right for my self and my transformation things began to right themselves. A little self-care can go a long way. I bit of insight can expand a limited insight.

Though the King of Swords is here to call action and progress, I must remind each general that they need a bath, a brush, and a cup of tea with an advisor at the end of the day. No one is capable of doing it all themselves.

Be well,

Greetings!

First, I hope that this finds you feeling groovy on another Martin Luther King Jr. Day. In my mind he is one of our sentinels for human progress. The spirit in which we can find our drive to do better. There is a lot going on in the world right now, well there always is, and I’m find the impetu for breaking down followed by the thematic spirit of hope, to rebuild, stronger and more enlightened.

A few things I want to point out this week.

On twitter the other day, Taz Thornton mentioned the significance of dreams. I mentioned this on The Journey || Lifencompass fan page for those tuning in because I’ve seen the trend of pointing to the importance of dreaming and the messages they carry. Personally mine have been enlightening to say the least, bringing up the debris of issues and energies that have been transiting out the last few months.

In recalling this theme of death / transition / transformation the momentum built to a shift point (Death, Wheel of Fortune, last week) with a moment of push-forward-and-get-it-done.

I used this as an opportunity to tackle some personal fears about success and to let go of some issues around that (self-confidence and prosperity, abundance) although somewhat late in the week, last night into this morning things finally clicked and passed for myself.

Look for some astrological influences of note, courtesy of Sandra Helton:

The Sun enters Aquarius and sextiles both Uranus and Jupiter this week making the atmosphere charged with abundant progressive energy. You become more aware and flashes of new ideas and enthusiasm positively renew your attitude about life.

A major shift this week is Jupiter entering Aries where it transits until June and carries you far beyond a regular routine and the predictable daily lifestyle. There is enthusiasm in the air even if you are not clear about anything in particular. Interest in embracing a more exciting lifestyle and incorporating more is to be an ongoing trend.

The jolt of Mercury conjunct Pluto calls for you to think deeply about what matters and where you are going in life. Out of the time you spend thinking on this and bringing in new ways of management you will have as an end result a more workable and enjoyable lifestyle that has depth and meaning with a spark of newness.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Jan17-23-2011

I’m looking at reminders of keeping steady with progress. Things like personal change are not won with the toss of the dice, although they can often be started or noted with the rattle and roll of lady luck. Rolling numbers we see two fives and a nine, both are card members of change. Completing the square is a two, a call of partnerships around ideas. Although with the two of swords we’re looking to be in harmony with our ideas not our fears, so the partnership is with your self.

Keep your eyes on the self and your goals. Watch for self-absorbed behavior and obsession with your own makings but the highlight should be on the goals or projects we have been working on.

Crying over what isn’t, or what is gone, is just a waste of your own energy as it leaks into waste. Avoid it. There is a bigger circle of energy at work, at this time, that can really help you. I’ve seen it in action and whether it is astrological, magickal, or the rush of new years energy, or all of the above and then other things, it doesn’t matter. The help is there, take it.

Keep an eye out for self-doubt, insecurities, and a defeatist attitude. If you catch them you can work with them. They may be coming through in dreams and waking you up at night (nine of sword reversed), you can work on them with affirmations, meditation, or even healing work by communicating with them as if they were sub-personalities that just need to be tended. Massage out the rough parts and work them into the right direction. Again, energy is there to help you in your endeavors. Universally speaking, we are not doing this alone.

Don’t be stubborn in resisting change or making a decision. Fear (above) or denial (two of swords) is blocking you from opening up to the proper direction. My advice is to remove the blindfold and trust what you see before you, directing the swords as emblems of truth, and symbols of action, activating them to cut through the illusions of the mind, doubt and fear, is in your best interest.

Keep plugging away and set your heart and mind on a hight note. Diligence creates abundance. 🙂

Because of the “Dream-Theme” this week, I HAD to put this video in the weekly. 🙂

I didn’t really want to waste any energy on this topic but it seems to be THE thing to talk about lately on social networks. I fail to see the value in saying nothing to I’m adding my “thumbs up” to a sensical response.  I think Rune Worker did a good job on Facebook as well. 🙂

Here’s the start, go to the blog to read it in full.

((EXCERPT))

In response to all of the hoopla regarding a change in Sun Signs, author Susyn Blair-Hunt has provided us with this great guest blog post. Readers, please enjoy!

Question: A new report is saying that my astrological sign has changed, due to a wobble or shift in the earth. It claims that I am now a Taurus, rather than a Gemini. Is this true?

Answer: This is a theory that popped up in the mid-1990s, and has been causing quite a stir ever since. Based on a scientific study that measured the shift in the earth’s axis (called the wobble or precession), this research cites that the constellations are no longer moving in sync with ancient dates assigned to zodiac in early times. From this point they were eager to point out just one more reason why astrological practices aren’t valid, and to confuse people as to just what their sign might be. Unfortunately for them, but fortunate for astrologers and the general public, they based their entire theory on a misconception about how the signs of the zodiac came into being, and on what they are based.

In truth, the signs, degrees and divisions of the zodiac have no connection to the heavenly constellations that bear their same names, but were originally assigned to an imaginary elliptical belt that surround the earth. These sign designations are based on the seasons of the year, rather than the stars above. An easier way to see this is to remember that our seasons start on the first day the Sun enters a particular sign; the first day of spring (in the northern hemisphere) corresponds to the onset of Aries; summer, the first day of Cancer; autumn, the first day of Libra; and winter, the first day of Capricorn.

Because the constellations are fixed

In keeping with the trend of forecasting energetic trends, I bring you an excerpt from Michelle Karen’s blog.

Look for:

((NEWSLETTER EXCERPT))

We are blessed with a Solar Eclipse on Tuesday January 3 at 1:03 AM at 13º39′ Capricorn.

This degree is represented in the Sabian Symbols by the following image: “An ancient bas-relief carved in granite remains a witness to a long-forgotten culture”. Eclipses are always days of intensified energy which shift our lives permanently to a whole new level of experience and consciousness. Everything done/said on an eclipse day tends to be final. No matter what happens, we should take extra care in remaining positive and loving. This particular eclipse asks us to re-evaluate our goals and ambitions, as well as our place in society. We may want to simplify our immediate reality. As more and more of the knowledge carried within from past/parallel civilizations remember itself within us, the more wisdom and power we exude. An important time to remember who we really are in our divinity and where we come from in an expanded concept of reality.

Saturn turns retrograde on Tuesday January 25

3′ Libra. This degree is symbolized in the Sabian Symbols by: “Two men placed under arrest”. A time to seriously question the duties, responsibilities and obligations our conditioning has made us blindly accept. Even if this means that we could become vastly misunderstood. The more we awaken to our personal power, the truer to ourselves we become, the less tolerant we may be toward structures that have lost their meaning to us. It is a time to reach personal mastery and be clear in our hearts on what rules we truly want to follow and why. On the road to enlightenment we have to follow as much as we can, the dictates of our inner truth.

via January 2011 : Michelle Karen Books, Astrology – A Special Tool for Personal Empowerment.

What I don’t see mentioned here are the great words from her email, which I found quite helpful. Here are some excerpts as well.

********

As this new year 2011 starts, we are truly being projected into the unknown. In the Mayan Calendar, this one-before-last year is our last chance to clear our karma. This is why everything is coming to a head in such a violent way, forcing us to face the consequences of our actions,  but most profoundly, look at our thoughts/images, our feelings and the realities they create in our external world.

This Solar Eclipse talks about the need to find passion in our lives, fully commit ourselves to our spiritual growth, to projects that make us soar, as well as to a deep relationship -first to ourselves in the marriage of the masculine and the feminine within- and then to another whom we have a strong soul bond with. We are seeking nothing less than true intimacy with a person with whom we are of matching power and can relate to in body, mind, soul and spirit. This position is also likely to reveal what is keeping us from true love, what false/limiting/limited beliefs we still hold on to that prevent us from experiencing the joys of shared love. It is a time to dwell profoundly into the thoughts we have surrounding relationships and sexuality. Unexpected fortuitous events involving friends, the pursuit of educational, humanitarian or spiritual interests support us in realizing dreams and visions we’ve held for a long time for a deep personal relationship.

It also requires of us to see our own beauty, own our personal power and stand in our passion.

We could be led to creating new adventurous streams of income that require that we take certain risks in expanding our skills.

Limitations could be felt in our domestic circumstances, somewhat stifling the scope of our actions. But if we remain mindful that the change we want to see in the world first needs to occur in our own perception, then those blocks will automatically disappear and we’ll truly become the masters of our destiny. Making our home a sanctuary to bring the sacred into our daily lives could become important.

On a professional level these were / are important foot notes. I thought it would be beneficial to you to share them. Do with them as you will.

Where ever this finds you, I hope you are having a lovely new year.

Mercury goes into retrograde on Saturday. I’ve been talking to B about this, and spreading out some advice about transactions and communication -part of which I should have kept in mind today myself- *grumbles* because he wants to invest in some new wheels.

Naturally he asked, should I buy the car when Mercury goes Retrograde? Personally, I probably wouldn’t but that doesn’t mean I absolutely would not. Who runs my life, me or Mercury?

Conversation ensued, I had to leave to hit a dinner date / consultation, and I returned to find this article in my facebook inbox.

I love when I get these things. I really do.

The article is cheeky, fun, and yes insightful. B’s probably buying a new car, one like we’ve rented before (and loved), and we’re going to do it on a “new rules retrograde”.

Excerpt: When Mercury Goes Retrograde

What can we do when Mercury goes retrograde? It’s a fair bet it will continue to go retrograde, a few times a year, every year, until the Sun explodes and none of us have to worry about it any longer. So it’s something we can count on — and it’s something we can predict and put on the calendar. In that respect it’s a lot easier to deal with than problems that occur without any warning! Other than hang up signs saying “Talk to me when Mercury’s feeling better,” there are several things you can do to cope with a planet in retrograde. But you can do more than just cope! This is something that will continue to happen over and over, so why not find ways to make it a more positive event?

When I was a kid, we would sometimes declare “Opposite Day.” Whatever we said, the opposite was true. We’d spend all day confounding our elders by doing the opposite of what we were told to do, and tormenting our younger siblings and cousins by reversing Opposite Day halfway through their uttering a particularly disagreeable sentence. (I know it wasn’t just me who did that!) Mercury going into retro doesn’t mean “There will be problems.” It means “What normally is, is not and what normally isn’t, is.” It means that Mercury has declared Opposite Day for the next three weeks.

While I don’t suggest you go around telling your family and friends that you dislike them, I do suggest you try doing things you don’t normally do. Have you been putting off writing someone a letter? Mercury retrograde can be a great time to sit down and communicate with someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time. Have you been busy playing phone tag with someone at work? Stop calling! Maybe it would be better to visit in person. If you and your spouse always seem to fight and argue when Mercury is in retrograde, why not agree to spend time alone, take a weekend off and go on separate vacations or just agree to ignore one another for an evening? You could even declare a “no verbal communication” day and use written notes and hand signals.

Take this chance to be creative. Think about what problems Mercury in retrograde usually causes

It appears we’re entering the Mercury Storm… Say what? Yes this is the period of “going into retrograde” as the planet appears to slow. It would be a good time to edit and finish transactions, deals, contracts, escrow, etc. We don’t want these in the retrograde period.

Mercury will be Retrograde from December 10 – December 30th, first in Capricorn and then Sagittarius. You won’t believe this but there should be about four paragraphs here… In the middle of my post, WordPress just logged out and I lost everything. Auto-save didn’t take. 😦

So I’ll have to summarize my last 30 minutes and I think Sandra Helton, at Shirley MacLaine site can help me best.

“Mercury goes retrograde Friday in Capricorn until December 19 and continuing to be retrograde until December 30 in Sagittarius.

There is likely to be great shuffling of papers and forms and anything you have needed to take care of over the past few months but have let slide. You have what it takes to get it all in working order and that is what you should be doing.

Many will rethink family traditions and strive to connect to relatives and bring the holiday season full circle to what was or what is meaningful. The very stabilizing Sun sextile Saturn energy puts forth just the right energy for cementing bonds and laying lasting foundations that become a part of your life in the days ahead and well into 2011.”

Edit and finish contracts, deals, and personally I think we should be mindful of Mercurial influences over the rest of the month as December, our biggest holiday month generally speaking, probably has the more travel, transactions, and communication packed into 30 days then some people have in two-thirds of their year. Keep in mind last weeks notes on taking care of the self, and carry forward with the highlight of any retrograde, this is an inner journey time so do your best to communicate from the core, and travel ahead with the spirit. Transactions should have a meaning for you. Give from the heart. Speak as you would like to be spoken to… I think you get my meaning.

So onto the cards.

Tarot Weekly

Tarot Weekly Dec 6 - 12th

So… I’m going to go with growth through integrative experience this week. Doesn’t mean positive, or negative, could be either or, but the set up doesn’t seem that serious to me with the exception of a possible loss of place, or recognition of a long term process of change that could be making itself visible.

Let me explain the later and then loop back to the beginning. As I pulled the cards this morning a scenario unfolded in my minds eye, indicating a loss of a job. My heart bumped up a beat but I calmed because I recognized that it wasn’t me, but was connected to my life and so I would see or hear about it.

Later this morning I heard the news. It was close in proximity, I was a bit surprised.

What does this have to do with the weekly? Well… I had a hard time with that. I got the personal message with this one and I’m trying to expand it into a broader spectrum so that we can see how it applies to all of us. Seems to me that the message of the young visionary, looking out into the world and making a decision to move forward, unfortunately the decision is framed in the context of loss (9 of swords) and the eventual end of a journey (three of wands, reversed) which is the need for a new direction.

Psyche forms the root of the reading, the underbelly of movement that feels crocodilian in that there is the element of surprise in the news or change. The surface of the water seems calm… “Snap!” goes the mouth of the crocodile who dives back to the depths, and the water appears calm once again.

The observer on the other hand has been given a message and despite the calm waters they have been shown another side to life, death (change) and this becomes the tool we must take to hand. You see Psyche, grows from her experience. She is our mythic transport into our own underbelly and is asking if we realize that we have come to a decision, or that our recent decisions (path at this time) has come to a conclusion or finale.

Up from the inner world comes the gift of insight, sometimes in a sudden flash we find that we can startle ourselves.

Take note of your changes this week, specifically what you may be unconsciously communicating to yourself as this could bleed into a retrograde journey of discovery.

Emergence is the surfacing power or idea, coming out from within.

Well, I believe I’m done for the week there… 🙂
